Product Vendor Applications, Sponsors Now Being Accepted for 3rd Annual Made in Maui County Festival

The Mayor’s Office of Economic Development announced today that vendor applications and sponsorship forms are now available for the 3rd Annual Made in Maui County Festival. Considered the largest products show in Maui County, the event will be held at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului and will be open to the public on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5, 2016. The Festival is presented by the County of Maui, Mayor’s Office of Economic Development, and the Maui Chamber of Commerce.

In 2015, over 10,000 residents and visitors attended the two-day event, which featured a Shoppers Preview and Buyers Preview on Friday, November 4; and the Big Festival Day on Saturday, November 5. A total of 140 vendors showcased a wide variety of made-in-Maui County products including foods, produce, art, crafts, jewelry, fashion, gifts, collectibles and more. (more…)

Local businesses rocked at 2nd Annual Made in Maui County Festival

It was a big shopping day for local businesses during the Made in Maui County Festival held this weekend.

This weekend, over 10,000 residents and visitors converged on the Maui Arts & Cultural Center for the 2nd Annual Made in Maui County Festival setting a new attendance record. Taking center stage were the over 140 vendors who showcased the Islands’ depth and breadth of products during this two-day event held on November 6 & 7.

“The creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the people of Maui County was on display for all to see at this event,” said Mayor Alan Arakawa who also got into the spirit of the event by modeling a silk shirt by designer Sarai Stricklin. “The diversity of products attests to the wide-ranging abilities and talents of the vendors.”

“Small business is the core of the economic engine that drives our local economy,” said Arakawa. “We are truly fortunate to have such dedicated and hardworking business owners involved in this showcase of Made in Maui County products that attracts visitors and local people alike. Helping our local businesses succeed long-term will ultimately benefit our community and economy.” (more…)

2nd Annual Made In Maui County Festival set for November 6 & 7, 2015

The inaugural Made in Maui County Festival in 2014 attracted thousands of visitors and residents for a full day of shopping, activities, food and fun. This year, the Festival’s organizers anticipate the event will be bigger and better than ever!

Maui County’s largest products show, the annual Made in Maui County Festival, returns on November 6 and 7, 2015. Now in its second year, this popular event features over 140 vendors offering a wide variety of made in Hawaii products, including foods, produce, art, crafts, jewelry, fashion, gifts, collectibles and more ALL in one location – the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului.

Serious shoppers who want a one-day head start will be allowed to purchase tickets for a special “Shoppers Preview” to be held on Friday, November 6th from 2 pm to 6 pm. Attendees will enjoy the Festival’s opening ceremonies at approximately 5 pm in the Yokouchi Pavilion. Light refreshments will be served. Attendees will also receive a free Festival tote bag. Cost is $35 per person, tickets are limited. Purchase tickets at the MACC Box Office, (808) 242-SHOW (7469), or MauiArts.org.

On Saturday, November 7th, the Made in Maui County Festival will be open from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Public admission is $5 (at the gate), children 12 and under are free. Saturday’s festivities will include demonstrations, a fashion show, over 12 food trucks, and prize drawings throughout the day. The first 2,000 attendees will receive a free Festival tote bag.

On both days, attendees can also enter Hawaiian Airlines’ drawing for a chance to win 120,000 HawaiianMiles. (more…)

2nd Annual Made in Maui County Festival announces the 2015 product vendors

When Maui County’s largest products show, the 2nd Annual Made in Maui County Festival, opens to the public on November 6 and 7, 2015 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului, the event will boast a larger format with more products, more vendors, more food trucks, and more reasons to buy local.

This week, the Festival announced the final list of vendors who will be participating in this upcoming event. In total, nearly 150 product vendors and food trucks are confirmed, over 40 of which are new to the event.

Last year, the inaugural event attracted over 9,500 visitors and residents and 130 vendors participated. Vendors reported over $300,000 in product sales transactions, over 180 new accounts and wholesale orders closed, and over 1,000 leads for future sales and wholesale accounts generated. This year, the Festival is focused on expanding the event’s impact. (more…)

At this year’s Festival, Maui Gourmet Popcorn will once again be selling their popular coffee cookies, taro cookies, macadamia nut brittle, gourmet popcorn and cereal treats.

Serious shoppers who want a one-day head start during the 2nd Annual Made in Maui County Festival now have their chance. The general public will be allowed to purchase tickets for a special “Shoppers Preview” to be held at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) in Kahului on Friday, November 6th. Event hours are 2 pm to 6 pm. Cost is $35 per person. Tickets are limited, only 500 tickets will be sold to the general public. Made in Maui County Festival announces first round of product vendors

WAILKU, Maui, HI – With nearly 19 weeks to go until the 2nd Annual Made in Maui County Festival opens on November 6 and 7, the County of Maui Mayor’s Office of Economic Development and the Maui Chamber of Commerce announced the first group of approved vendors who will be participating in this year’s event.

Considered the largest products show in Maui County, the 2015 Festival will feature over 140 vendors. The event will also be increasing the number of food trucks from 7 in 2014 to 16 this year. To date, a total of 68 local businesses have been approved to participate and over 50 applications are pending review early next month.

While the 2015 Product Vendor Application submission deadline was originally announced as August 31st, due to the high number of applicants and limited vendor space, the Festival committee is encouraging local businesses interested in participating to submit their applications sooner rather than later. This information is part of an effort to encourage private sector sponsorship of this year’s Festival, a popular event dedicated to growing our islands’ business community.

Despite a steady downpour of rain, the inaugural Made in Maui County Festival in 2014 still managed to attract over 9,400 residents and visitors for a full day of shopping.
