Made in Maui County Festival announce upcoming informational sessions for interested vendors

Festival organizers will be assisting interested vendors at upcoming informational sessions.

WAILUKU, Maui, Hawai‘i – Two informational sessions will held in July for local businesses interested in participating as vendors at the first-ever Made In Maui County Festival (MIMCF) in November.

Upcoming Informational Sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays, July 8 and 15, from 12 noon to 1 pm at the Cameron Center in Wailuku.

“To date, a number of local business owners have taken advantage of these informational sessions,” said Teena Rasmussen, Director of the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development. “Our Festival organizers are available to answer questions and to provide assistance to owners wanting to complete their Vendor Application.”

Participating MIMCF vendors must be based in Maui County and feature a minimum of 51 percent, value-added in Hawaii. Booth space will be assigned upon meeting the definition of “Made in Hawaii” in terms of compatibility, desirability, uniqueness of product and on a first-come, first-served basis.  Vendor applications can be downloaded from www.MadeInMauiCountyFestival.com; click on “Vendors” button.

Approved vendors will be able to participate in two events as part of the Made in Maui County Festival held at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The first, is a Wholesale Buyers and Distributors Event/Reception (by invitation-only) on Friday, November 7th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. On Saturday, November 8 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Festival will be open to the public with approximately 100 vendors offering a myriad of made in Maui County products, plus food, demonstrations, restaurant vendors, food trucks and more! Admission is $3; children 12 and under are free.

The 2014 MIMCF is presented by the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development and the Maui Chamber of Commerce.
